I think that Schwab can handle Canadian stocks, but I was wondering if there are other cheaper discount brokers that are set up to trade in more nations, such as Mexico, India, etc. stocks at reasonable commissions. As you may or may not know, most people consider trading and investing as quite different activities.
Traders try to make quick profits from smaller changes in prices. Investors try to buy something that will go up in value over a longer term. Most people who try trading lose money and most people who try investing make money, but there are plenty of exceptions both ways.
If you mean trading instead of investing, you probably will not learn much about it at the Motley Fool site I recommended. I don’t know any trading classes I would recommend. The vast majority of free trading classes I have seen offered were essentially sales pitches by people trying to sell you services, classes and/or software, usually for thousands of dollars. I have seen no meaningful evidence that any of these products actually help anyone to make money.
You might also want to check with any community colleges in your area to see if they have any classes on how markets work. These can help you if you want to be either a trader or an investor.

Answer by Jon P I don’t know the answer to you question, but the total range during that period is 1 cent. So, essentially, it didn’t really move in a distinct pattern, it just stayed level on low volume of trading.

Answer by john well it depends on how long the game lasts but i would defanetly hold Apple for at least after the holidays. Apple is a great company and is constantly introducing new things but you got a rather high price. Another thing you could do is buy more shares of apple, so 10 shares at 203, buy ten more at 191 and your new average price is 197. remeber when deciding when to buy a stock, even if it looks like it will never go done again, it at least does 90% of the time. I think it is excellent that you have started learning about the stock market early too. I worked really hard at my job for two summers, 14 and 15 yo, then started investing in stocks with that money at age 16.

Answer by john well it depends on how long the game lasts but i would defanetly hold Apple for at least after the holidays. Apple is a great company and is constantly introducing new things but you got a rather high price. Another thing you could do is buy more shares of apple, so 10 shares at 203, buy ten more at 191 and your new average price is 197. remeber when deciding when to buy a stock, even if it looks like it will never go done again, it at least does 90% of the time. I think it is excellent that you have started learning about the stock market early too. I worked really hard at my job for two summers, 14 and 15 yo, then started investing in stocks with that money at age 16.
